ON PARTICULARLY ROUGH DAYS WHEN I'M SURE I CAN'T POSSIBLY ENDURE, I LIKE TO REMIND MYSELF THAT MY TRACK RECORD FOR GETTING THROUGH BAD DAYS SO FAR IS 100%, AND THAT'S PRETTY GOOD.
Hi, this is Selleka. I am the official blog speaker for today
[I don't know what my dad did the first half of his day so I can't give that update]
Yesterday I got the pleasure of spending the afternoon with my daddy!:) My roommate, Isabell, and I came up after classes. When we first got there, my dad was actually getting a little sleep/resting time which I bet he really loved! When he got up, we went out to the family waiting room and played my dad's favorite game, Tusoro. It was no surprise at all that he won because one thing about my dad that everyone should know is he wins every game you play against him!!!
Something I learned while being with my dad yesterday is that he is known on his floor for the laps he walks every day. To try and keep moving and get exercise (and because my mom insists) my dad walks around the 4th floor. But when I say "walk", I really mean his walk is the pace of everybody else's run! While we were "walking", one of the nurses said, "so you are the one that keeps walking on this floor...I've heard about you!":) So my dad is well known on his floor for that.
Later, his cousin, Jonette, and her husband and daughter, Aspen, came to visit. They set up a workout bicycle for my dad. He wanted to have some sort of exercise he can do here at the hospital:) Some of my dad's good friends, the Stephens, came by and visited with him. My dad loves visitors!
My dad is still as happy and on-the-go as ever! Still feeling great!
