Day 5

Ronald continues to feel very grateful for visits from family and friends, packages, phone calls, e-mails, texts, generous acts of service, and the many, many prayers being offered in his behalf.
He continues to receive chemotherapy every day and Stephanie spends every day with him.

Favorite thought of the day:
In the gospel of Jesus Christ, you have help from both sides of the veil, and you must never forget that.  When disappointment and discouragement strike...you remember and never forget that if our eyes could be opened, we would see horses and chariots of fire as far as the eye can see riding at reckless speed to come to our protection. (Jeffrey R Holland, Jan. 1982)

The Achievement Days girls showed up at the house and tried to sneakily do yard work but they got caught!
What a sweet surprise.

Every morning, Ronald, Steph, (and the chemo pole) go on a 2 mile walk around the hospital

Ronald asked his children to select his  meals for the week from the hospital menu.  Today the meals were chosen by Syvanna.  For dinner she picked French dip.  Stay tuned for Ryker's selections tomorrow :)

  1. Your family has been in my thoughts almost weekly for the past 20 or so years. You were so kind to me and, that kindness kept me on the road to joining the Church. You will never know how much you helped me, encouraged me, and "endured to the end" for me. I am approaching the age of 71 now and can see the next part of my life on the horizon (being 100 lbs overweight helps).I wanted to say this to you privately, but could never get through on the phone...besides I am so emotional now, I would just blubber on the phone. You and your family are special people and have shown me an example I have tried to live up to these past two decades. I will continue to pray for you all. Thank you, John.
