CELEBRATION OF RYLAN'S ETERNAL LIFE!

For those able to join us to celebrate Rylan's eternal life, we will be holding services for that on Monday, April 21 at 11:00 am at the Marriot-Slaterville 2nd ward chapel located directly next to our home at 161 north 1500 west Marriott-Slaterville, Utah. You will be able to see and spend some time with Rylan between 9:30am-10:40am prior to those services! Whether you are able to attend or not, we KNOW of your love and support and Rylan is also very aware of your love for him and concern and compassion for our family!

WE LOVE YOU RYLAN BRENT!!!

On March 2, 1991 our family's lives were changed gloriously for the better as Rylan Brent Simmons joined our family in mortality- Now our family's lives have been dramatically changed again because of this young man- but this time because of his unexpected and sudden departure from mortality and this earthly existence as Rylan passed away in his sleep, and returned home to his heavenly parents yesterday, April 15, 2014!

We had no idea that our sweet mortal days blessed by his twinkly eyes and bright smile and unconditional support and love for each one of us would come to an end so abruptly. As we hope you can only imagine, there really are not words that we know of at this time, to express the aching, longing, and intense pain that has immediately become a part of our minutes and hours- we truly are almost paralyzed by this newest intense challenge---There really are no words, celestial enough, as well, that we know that can accurately describe the extraordinary level of gratitude that we feel for the privilege, and great honor it has been to have this valiant, committed, bright, genuinely loving, compassionate, even perfect son, brother and great friend by our side for the past 23 years!

We know if you are reading this you have most likely spent time and have known Rylan at some level for a time, and have personally experienced the unbelievable joy that he instantaneously brought into each new day, experience and relationship without ever saying one word. His example of how powerful one worthy spirit can express love, compassion, understanding, friendship, positive uplift, patience, desires, encouragement, support and the ultimate and powerful love our our Savior, Jesus Christ!!...No words needed...not one! Oh, We love him, We love him, We love him-We miss him!

We are clinging to the absolute truth that our family is united eternally through sacred ordinances and covenants that we made in the temple and the invaluable sustaining power and security we are receiving from the fact that our entire family will once again be reunited and and at that time we wills sit at the feet of the extraordinary valiant young man with great gratitude for his willingness to spend his earth life in our care but mostly for patiently showing us the way and leading our family safely back home to live in glory as unknown- but for now sweet son we so deeply and intensely miss you!

WE WILL NEVER FORGET!!!!

We are certainly gaining SPIRITUAL TRACTION from our "Load"- and for this we are so grateful!

We were able to hear and feel so many wonderful and even personal messages as we attended and listened to the recent LDS General Conference. We will most likely feel the desire to share moments and messages from that conference that specifically and literally reached right into our hearts, taught, comforted and strengthened those hearts and prepared us more for this adventure! The following is Elder David A. Bednar, an apostle of the Lord, helping us to put things into perspective and purpose and in return boosting our sustaining power... towards the end of his message and short video he states that the Lord's "yoke is easy and his burden is light" We personally feel this to mean that his yoke is easy because a yoke is obviously shared and as we have allowed the Lord to share in and be a consistent partner in our challenges as well as joys and in return every ability and effort is magnified and thus becomes easier and....His burden IS light, not necessarily meaning "not heavy, or difficult" but light in the way of truth, intelligence and enlightenment- We know this to be true more than ever. We are so thankful for a living prophet on this earth today as well as apostles of the Lord providing continual guidance, counsel, and love directly from the Lord!! We have posted two different ways to experience his talk in conjunction with this post- -one is the link to the full talk that Elder Bednar presented in conference, which we were definitely urge you to take the time to listen/re-listen to.

He speaks words directly from our hearts and so beautifully articulates why this extremely unexpected and inconvenient adventure in our lives is not only manageable but considered by us to be sacred!
